Stealing away some much needed time for myself

It has been less than a week since I’ve been laid off, but it already feels like it has been too long. I holed myself up in my apartment for a few days trying to grasp my thoughts. It wasn’t helping, so I finally mustered up the drive to take my bike for a ride. I’m so glad I did. The weather was delicious. My favorite kind: humid with cool pockets of breeze coming off the lake, no clouds, happy sunshine….delicious. The picture is taken from Northwestern University, looking out at Chicago from Evanston. A perfect place to reflect.
